Recently, Kpopmap had the incredible opportunity of interviewing WOOSUNG to ask him all our burning questions about how the masterpiece ‘Dimples’ finally came to life, his goals for the future, and his aim with music. Not only was it an honour to interview WOOSUNG but also we also got an enlightening glimpse into how creativity and music have molded WOOSUNG into the wonderful human being we know today. One of the most interesting episodes WOOSUNG shared during the interview was when he had to get his hair and makeup done for the ‘Dimples’ music video in a room full of bugs of various sizes. The sheer resignation on WOOSUNG’s face as he retold the story was both hilarious and interesting at the same time. Following the release of the music video for ‘Dimples’, WOOSUNG launched a fan theory competition, inviting fans to interpret the music video in their own way to win autographed WOOSUNG x MARHEN.J custom ‘Bono’ bags and a photo card. This brought in a stream of explanations for what’s going on in the music video. WOOSUNG shared that rather than the ones that were spot on, he liked those that were more out there and created a story of their own. About singing OSTs for K-Dramas, WOOSUNG set up the perfect scenario of an ending scene, where two lovers have to part ways because they cannot be together and proposed a ballad OST sung by himself that would play right before the final credits. Finally, WOOSUNG revealed that his biggest goal for the future was to have more listeners as he derives his inspiration from them.
